🌸 Why Women Over 40 Need to Play Like Little Girls 🌸

After 12 magical days in Tahiti with a tribe of incredibly strong, successful, and beautiful women, I realized something profound. What began as a celebration for our girlfriend’s 50th birthday transformed into a journey of rediscovery. As a Gen X woman, I grew up fast. By 8, I had responsibilities, and by 10, most of us were already working. 3 out of 4 of us suffered sexual, mental, or emotional abuse. We never truly got to play, to be carefree in a safe environment.

Fast forward 40 years, and now, we’re independent, fearless, and driven. But that little girl inside us still longs to play, to feel safe and free from responsibilities. This spontaneous soul sister trip was all about that—5 women who finally got to play! We danced, dressed up, swam, hiked, cooked, played with flowers, ate, drank, and laughed until we cried.

We filled up our cups in a way none of us had ever experienced before. Why was it different? We had no responsibilities, were pretty much off the grid, and were completely free on and in Mother Ocean—special thanks to our amazing captain, Stephan, who made us feel safe. I always encourage other women to fill up their cups and put their needs first, but it took a HUGE push from my friends for me to do the same.

Why is it so important for women over 40 to play? Because it fills up our soul and makes that little girl inside of us happy. And when she’s happy, the woman she’s become radiates love! 💖

🌟 12-Week Transformation: My Journey Back to Feeling Amazing 🌟

I never set out to do a full transformation—I just wanted to get back in shape after a busy winter and spring. But when my girlfriend sent me a photo from May 4th, I realized how inflamed and out of balance my body had become. That was the wake-up call I needed.

Inflammation is a huge factor in both disease and rapid aging, so I decided to tackle it head-on. The therapies I used weren’t overly expensive, yet the benefits have been life-changing and will last me for years. In a culture where inflammation runs rampant, this reset changed everything for me.

The biggest game-changer was a stem cell infusion: 100 million cells through IV and 20 million on my face, combined with PRP and microneedling. Within three weeks, I noticed major improvements:

Muscle Recovery: My body bounces back after workouts and surfing like I’m in my 30s again.

Joint & Back Pain: Morning stiffness, aches, and pains? Completely gone.

Strength Gains: I’ve weight trained before, but this time my strength is next-level.

Radiant Skin: Friends keep commenting on my glowing, firmer skin with fewer wrinkles.

Other key shifts included

I also felt a huge reduction in stress—I’m calmer and less reactive, with no need to reach for alcohol to unwind.

I’ve reconnected with a version of myself I hadn’t seen in years, and it’s been a total game-changer.

People always ask me…Why I surf? Why did I change my entire life so that I could be near Mother Ocean and have the ability to surf every day? The only answer is that my soul feels connected when I am on the ocean. There is something about being on the water and riding a wave that is like nothing else I have ever experienced; it is not a craving or an addiction. Surfing is just something that I must do! If I do not surf then I just don’t feel like myself. Surfing and all the sacrifices I have made in order to surf every day, I would never change because surfing has made me a better person. More patient, more connected and stronger in so many waves.
Mother Ocean has healed my soul and my broken heart so many times. When I am sad, angry, frustrated or more importantly in a state of grief, I go to Mother Ocean. Being in the water, surrounded by her energy and embracing her waves gives me a sense of lightness, a feeling that whatever is happening with me…it will get better…and it always does.
My intention with this post is to help others that are sad or in a state of grief to find a place in nature where you can go and feel alive again. Do whatever you can to feel alive, slowly overtime the numbness will fade and the grief will subside. Mother Ocean holds many keys to feeling alive, feeling your soul and finding peace.
